The process for your recommisison in OUR workshop
Collection
The first step if you require is to collect your motorcycle from your house or storage and get it to our workshop. Then we can assess it.
Assessment
We will get your bike in our workshop and have our mechanic carefully assess your motorcycle to see what it will need in order to get you back out on the road on it.
Esitimated Quotation
Once our mechanic has made the assessment, we will then work out an estimated quotation of the work that needs to be carried out.
Discussing the Quotation
We will get in touch with you to discuss the quotation of work that needs to be carried out in order to get your motorcycle back onto the road.
If you would prefer we can make an appointment to do this in person at our premises.
The quotation is only an estimate as if you want to go ahead with the work, when our mechanic gets started some other things not quoted may pop up. Any other work that needs doing and that has not been quoted will be discussed before the work is carried out.
a recommison that had been off the road for 30 years...

In this picture we had just collected it and then given in a quick clean to see what we were dealing with under the garage dust.
(This bike is not a standard Yamaha XS 1100 it has been customized to the customers taste.)
The after picture the XS 1100 had a full recommison. Lots of work was completed on this bike. The first major job we did was removal of the cylinder head and barrels then they were cleaned with the piston rings refitted. We decoked and re lapped the valves with new valve stem seals and a new head gasket.
This bike needed lots more work to get it back on the road.

This picture was taken in the barn where it wa stored for 10 years collecting dust.
We collected this bike from the customers house brought it back to our workshop. Then assed what work it would need doing to get it back on the road.

Work we completed included:
Full clean out of the fuel tank and rebuilt the fuel tap.
Full overhaul of the whole brake system.
Clean and rebuilt the carburettors.
Service. Supply and fit tyres.
